RATS IN THE WALLS I - 2018

Rats In The Walls is a visual diary shot post release from prison whilst still being restricted to a 7pm - 7am curfew. All images were shot inside the confines of his own home within  a four month period.

The zine was a self-published, A5 staple bound booklet, 32 full colour pages, printed onto 170gsm recycled paper with a 250gsm uncoated cover. The first edition of 150 sold out in under 24 hours and the second edition of 60 in just 1 hour. All copies were hand signed and numbered.

'I've been trapped in the system now since the age of fifteen, which is just over ten years. A decade stolen from me one way or another; weather that be through probation, community service orders, fines, young offenders institutes, monitored curfews, on bail or behind one of the doors of Her Majesty's Prisons! Rats In The Walls is a visual diary shot post release from prison in the confines of my own home while still subject to a home detention order. Having so much freedom taken away from me has made me chase what sometimes feels like lost time, but I will forever be playing catch up because that time is gone forever...'
